Tahbilk Winery and Wetlands Café
Established in 1860 Tahbilk is one of Australia’s most beautiful & historic wineries. Located in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria and only 15 minutes from the park. The vineyard has some 200 hectares under vine which includes the rare French Rhone Valley whites of Marsanne, Viognier and Roussanne; and the Rhone reds – Shiraz, Grenache & Mourvedre. A must see and taste during your visit.
Mitchelton Winery
Established in 1967 Mitchelton’s history can be traced over the decades through the pervasive influence of Victoria’s Goulburn River and the unfolding narrative of its distinctive wines. The river surrounds the vineyard on three sides, shaping the environment and climate of Mitchelton. The result – four starkly different soil profiles running along the rippling ridges and vales of the property. Creating individual vineyards within a vineyard. Great diverse range of wines to suit all palates.
Fowles Wine
Named by James Halliday in 2012 as one of the ‘Best wineries of the Strathbogie Ranges’, Fowles Wine crafts some of Australia’s finest cool climate wines, winning many of Australia’s most prestigious wine medals and trophies.The Fowles Wine Cellar Door and restaurant is located at the foothills of the stunning Strathbogie Ranges in central Victoria, just off the Hume Freeway in Avenel. At the Fowles Wine Cellar Door expect to be welcomed by a knowledgeable team and a delicious menu of home grown or locally sourced produce with matched Fowles Wine. A spacious café, with views of Mt Bernard, and shaded courtyard and children’s play ground provide a range of spaces for the whole family to enjoy long lunches or lazy afternoons.
Murchison’s Longleat Estate
Longleat is a picturesque Victorian vineyard situated on the west bank of the Goulburn River at Murchison. The 40 acre property grows Shiraz, Cabernet sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes for premium red wines and Semillon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes for delicate white wine. Taste Guido’s magnificent wine whilst enjoying Sandra’s superb home made cheese platters, just sensational.
